AI Product Opportunity
For startup founders

Runway is finite. Spend it on a market you can defend.

The expensive founder mistake is rarely the build — it's eighteen months spent on a market that never had a budget behind it. Start instead from opportunities where the pain, the buyer and the willingness to pay were each found and cited before you incorporate, so what you defend in the partner meeting is evidence rather than conviction.

Why startup founders use it

Demand and Monetization carry 60% of every score — a high total means someone was found complaining and someone was found paying.

Every claim traces to an openable source, so “why now” survives the first diligence question instead of collapsing into a hunch.

Already committed to an idea? Submit it and see it scored on the same formula before you commit the runway too.

Questions startup founders ask

Frequently asked questions

I already know what I'm building. Is this useful before I pivot?

Yes — submit your idea and it gets scored with the same evidence-backed formula as every opportunity on the boards. You see which of the sixteen dimensions had verifiable evidence behind them and which were capped for lack of it, which is usually a faster read on your assumptions than another month of customer calls.

Does a high score mean the market is big enough to raise on?

It means the demand and willingness to pay were found and cited, not that the market clears any particular fund's return threshold. Demand scoring covers pain severity, how often the job recurs, what the current workaround costs and whether that demand is reachable — the inputs to a market case, not a substitute for making one.

Can I use this material in a fundraising deck?

The cited sources are public URLs you can link and quote, and the scoring breakdown shows exactly what each score rests on. Investors can open the same evidence you did, which is the point — a claim they can verify beats a claim they have to take on faith.

How do I avoid picking something a hundred other founders are also seeing?

Openness is a full pillar: white space, differentiation, gap durability and counter-positioning are scored per opportunity, so you can deliberately pick openings that are still contestable — and gap durability specifically asks whether the opening survives the next platform release.

What if the evidence for an idea is thin?

Then the score says so. Any dimension whose citations are missing, dead or stale is capped at 6 out of 10 before the pillars are averaged, and a separate confidence number sits beside the score. Thin evidence reads as thin — it never gets quietly rounded up.
