You can capture demand. You can't invent it.
Campaigns that fail quietly tend to fail for one reason: they were pointed at a market that wasn't already looking. The Demand pillar is built from what people wrote when the problem actually hurt — the complaints, the workarounds, the frequency — which is simultaneously a map of where demand exists and the copy deck for reaching it.
Reachable demand is its own scored dimension: whether the people with the problem can be found and addressed, not merely counted.
Cited complaints are verbatim buyer language — positioning written from the source instead of from an invented persona doc.
Boards re-rank on every discovery run and the movers view shows what's climbing, so campaign timing can follow the signal.

Frequently asked questions
I'm not building a product. Why would a marketer use an idea leaderboard?
Because the raw material underneath it is demand research. The pain points, workarounds and buyer signals behind each score are the same inputs a positioning or campaign brief needs, gathered continuously across 44 domains instead of one survey at a time.
What does “reachable demand” mean in practice?
It is the dimension that separates a real market from a large one: whether the people with the problem congregate somewhere addressable. It also cannot be lifted by a complaint thread — a Reddit post proves pain, never that the audience is reachable, so that claim needs its own class of evidence.
Can I get the underlying evidence out of the app?
Paid plans include CSV and JSON exports of boards and watchlists, and Pro can mint read-only API keys for the public API. Every evidence item is a public URL, so the sources come with you.
How do I know a demand signal isn't years out of date?
Recency is built into the cap decision: a dimension whose every admissible citation is stale is treated as unverified and capped, because a 2019 complaint is not evidence of demand today. Dead links are pruned rather than left to prop up a score.
Does the score reward whatever is trending?
No — popularity metrics are structurally excluded from the formula. What is rewarded is corroboration: an opportunity independently supported by distinct sources, hosts and channels earns a convergence bonus, which is a very different thing from being loudly discussed in one place.
